Die Casting

What is die casting?

Die casting is a metal casting process that uses the inner cavity of a mould to apply high pressure to molten metal to produce castings with predetermined shapes, sizes and properties. Die casting process, the molten alloy in the high-speed high-pressure state, filling the mould cavity, after cooling and solidification and cleaning treatment to get the required castings.

Characteristics of the die casting process include:

High-pressure moulding: In the die-casting process, the metal liquid fills the mould cavity under high pressure to ensure that the castings have high dimensional consistency and surface flatness.

Mass production: due to the high cost of moulds and casting equipment, the die casting process is usually used for mass production of a large number of products, suitable for the production of small and medium-sized castings.

Multiple materials: commonly used materials include zinc, copper, aluminium, magnesium and other non-ferrous metals and their alloys.

Die casting process is very widely used, commonly used in the manufacture of a variety of parts such as automotive parts, electronic products shell. Because it can provide high-quality and high-efficiency production method and widely popular.
